History — Vancouver Data Centre
Primus' Vancouver, British Columbia Data Centre officially opened in Seymour on September 2006. The Vancouver Data Centre is a "class A" data centre with diverse paths for fiber into the building, fire suppression systems, UPS and back up diesel generator features.
Building Specs — Vancouver Data Centre
- 2,200 square feet of storage space
- Anti-static 12" raised floors
- Full storage cabinets that provides 44U space and two dedicated 15 Amps circuits
- Perforated cabinet doors for temperature control
- Earthquake-sensitive features including base-isolation platform and Iso-Base earthquake sensitive cabinets

State-of-art security
- Requires a two-factor authentication process including security access card and fingerprint authentication
- networked security cameras for 24/7 monitoring and archived visitor movements for multi-level security
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems and a high capacity generator
- All equipment in the Internet Data Centre server room is powered from the UPS system
- Each UPS system contains up to three modules, each acting as a separate UPS unit
- Each UPS conditions the input feed to a steady 208 Volts output to the server room
Redundant Cooling System
- AC units dedicated to each room with 20 tonne capacity dual compressors that allows for maintenance and operation simultaneously
- Environment and fire control systems that ensure a constant temperature between 68 and 69 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity between 40 to 50 per cent
Fire Suppression System
- Fire suppression capabilities in a two-stage dry pipe sprinkler system
Network Redundancy
- Network systems for traffic to automatically reconverge and travel across remaining router and circuit combinations in the event of a failure
